Justice Can Be Brutal
Violent, colorful, gruesome, humorous and at times poignant, LUCK RUNS OUT continues the saga of Jonah Hex, the disfigured ex-Confederate soldier turned bounty hunter. His travels through the Old West are the stuff of myth, a mean-spirited legend filled with characters who would just as soon help out Hex as stab him in the back.
In a still-young American at the end of the nineteenth century, Hex’s journey takes him from a den of horrors on the frontier to the deadly streets of old New York to the haunted site of a horrific massacre and beyond.
Writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti are joined by legendary artists Jordi Bernet and Russ Heath, as well as Rafa Garres, Giuseppe Camuncoli and John Higging. Together they deliver a series of hard-hitting stories that pay homage to, and simultaneously reinvent, the American western.
