Mephisto Appears
Seeing the awesome good within the Silver Surfer, the demon Mephisto set out to utterly destroy him. Kidnapping his love Shallabal. Mephisto succeeded in luring the Surfer to his infernal realm. But to break the Surfer, body and soul, was something the demon could not do, and in his frustration, he took Shallabal from the Surfer forever.
