Upon discovering that a radioactive spider bite had left him with the proportionate strength, speed and agility of a spider, young Peter Parker approached the popular super group, Fantastic Four, in the hopes of acquiring a job. After a lengthy battle that bruised more egoes than bones, the authoritative Mr. Fantastic explained to Spider-Man that the Fantastic Four were a "non-profit organization." Though he still needed a job, sparring with the F.F. proved to Peter he could tangle with the best.
