Origin of the Sentinels
Dr. Bolivar Trask's anti-mutant sentiment led him to create the Sentinels, giant machines of hate designed to protect humans by wiping out the growing mutant population. However, Trask's plan backfired. The Sentinel reasoned that the most efficient way to protect humans was to control them. Led by the gigantic Sentinel, Master Mold, the Sentinels continue to haunt the X-Men to this day.
