Doom Steals the Power Cosmic
Although the Silver Surfer is one of the most powerful beings in the Universe, even he fell before the sinister mind of Doctor Doom! Feigning friendship, Doom ambushed the trusting alien, stealing the surfer's cosmic powers! Flushed with power, Doom flew off to conquer the cosmos, not knowing of the barrier which Galactus created to trap his former herald on Earth! Attuned to the Surfer's specific powers, the barrier sent Doom crashing back to Earth. With the loss of his newfound powers at his defeat, Doom only gained the Surfer's enmity by his power-driven scheme!
