The Black Costumes Saga
When Spider-Man inadvertently ripped his costume during the Secret Wars, he never imagined how his new suit would change his life. The costume gave the wall-crawler powers he never had before, such as organic webbing, ability to change into street cloths instantaneously and increased spider-strength, but came with a price. The costume was actually a living symbiote attempting to permanently bonb with him. With the help of Reed Richards, Spider-Man was able to remove the parasite, which escaped to bond with Eddie Brock and became Venom.
