The Origin of Nightstalkers
Frank Drake, Blade, and Hannibal King were tricked into believing that Ghost Rider and Johnny Blaze were evil demons. After containing the Spirits of Vengeance the Nightstalkers realized they had been set up by the Queen of Evil, Lilith. Her plan was to pit the Midnight Sons again each other in the hopes one of the nine would die thus breaking the power of the numerology. Though the Nightstalkers went on to help the other Midnight Sons defeat Lilith, their crusade was against all things occult, they warned that they would someday meet under different circumstances.
