Rogue's mutant ability to absorb the powers, thoughts, and memories of anyone she comes in physical contact with has both saved and condemned her life. This "Midas Touch" of sorts allows her limitless power, yet keeps her from ever making any intimate contact with anyone During her days as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Rogue learned of the devastation and confusion her mind stealing would cause to both her victim and herself. Rogue has learned the dangers of her ability and uses it very sparingly.
