Circumstances reunited the original X-Men - Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman and Marvel Girl - at a time when anti-mutant hysteria was at an all-time high. They had long since left Xavier's School behind, but, feeling compelled to act, they formed their own organization - X-Factor! Publicly, its mission was to investigate reports of mutant activity and counteract any threat; but their real purpose was to use those reports to contact emerging mutants and help them to control their power!
