Wolverine vs. Cable
Stalking the evil mutants Stryfe in the streets of Madripool, Cable and the New Mutants ran afoul of that city's most lethal citizen Wolverine! To the New Mutants's dismay, instead of aiding them in their search, Wolverine battled their cyborg leader, both combatants marking veiled references to some prior bad blood. After an uneasy truce imposed by the younger heroes, Wolverine joined he New Mutants in defeating Stryfe and his Mutant Liberation front. But, though the situation made them allies, clearly Wolverine and Cable eager for a rematch!
