While accompanying his sister Susan Storm, her fiance Reed Richards, and pilot Ben Grimm on an unauthorized space flight, Johnny Storm was bombarded by mysterious cosmic rays! From that fateful day onward, Storm, now the fiery Human Torch, has been able to burst into flame at will, shoot white-hot balls of fire, and soar to feverish heights! And he does all these things to help his comrades, the phenomenal Fantastic Four, battle any malevolent forces that may imperil the Earth!
