As a youth growing up in the underworld of New Orleans, the mutant named Gambit found he could use his ability to convert any object's stored potential energy into ultra powerful kinetic energy to lead a life of crime. His whole life changed, though, when the X-Man storm befriended the charming cajun and convinced hm to give up his thieving ways. Now, Gambit has apparently turned to stealing the hearts of some of the female X-Men, as he battles mutant menaces as a member of the X-Men's blue team.
