REAL NAME: Eddie Brock

Newspaper reporter Eddie Brock's career came to an end when he misreported the identity of the serial killer called the Sin Eater, who was later captured by Spider-Man. Blaming the web-slinger for his misfortune, Eddie came into contact with a symbiotic alien costume, and Venom has given up his insane crusade to end the life of the wall-crawler, moving to San Francisco where he uses his powers as the lethal protector of that city's innocents!
