When Richard Rider was struck by a power beam from outer space, he was transformed into Nova, the human rocket! Gifted with super-strength bulletproof skin and the ability to fly at extraordinary speeds. Nova used his abilities to battle evil and injustice. Eventually, his powers were reclaimed by the alien race from which they sprang, but they later remanifested themselves within him. Today, as a mainstay of the New Warriors, Nova is once again in the forefront of the war against crime!
