Killed by the mad Titan Thanos, real estate agent Arthur Douglas was brought back to life by the god-like entity Chronos as the cosmic-powered Drax the Destroyer! Determined to eliminate Thanos, Drax pursued his vengeance with almost religious zeal, until Thanos met his end at the hands of Adam Warlock. Later killed by his daughter Moondragon when he tried to prevent her from subjugating a planet, Drax was once again resurrected by Chronos, this time as a simple-minded powerhouse with incredible strength!
